In 2001, a few years after War Stories, another experiment with fantasy arrived, Woman Impervious. After Woman had had her say, I purged image manipulation from my system and soon returned to what I consider photography’s strength, the suspension of disbelief. In other words, what you see is what you believe, all the while knowing it is a two  dimensional illusion, a distorted mirror image of reality, a simulacrum like all photography.
